Biometric trends prioritize security, with cryptosystems using biometrics posing storage risks. Voice biometrics emerge as a safer, more secure, and uniquely identifying alternative. Automated speech conversion methods facilitate voice-to-text conversion. Acoustic modeling underpins voice recognition and biometric systems, demanding robust modeling for precise speech detection. Our analysis explores the evolution and application of voice biometric systems for user identification and authentication, offering insights from various systems and their use cases. Methodologically, we reviewed pertinent journals and secondary data sources. Findings indicate voice biometrics provide secure access to electronic devices, aided by recent neural network advancements, yet integrating them with IoT systems remains a challenge, highlighting a practical gap despite technological advancements.
